Two Hinton teenagers face multiple charges after an attempted armed robbery May 10 at the 7-11.
A 16-year-old male, and a 15-year- old male, both of Hinton, have each been charged with armed robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon and disguise with intent in relation to the incident that took place in the early morning hours of May 10.
The one male – described in an RCMP press release to be Caucasian and standing at about 5’10” – was reported to have been wearing dark clothing and a facial covering and was brandishing a handgun.
The other male – also described as Caucasian and standing about 5’11”, was reported to have been wearing a trench coat, dark clothing, a dark hat and black and yellow gloves and was carrying a large machete.
Both youth were released by a Justice and are set to appear in Hinton Provincial Court on June 5.
RCMP stated that, as this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released.
