Found remains identified as Athabasca woman

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit have identified the remains found outside Hinton in April as those of a missing Athabasca woman.

 Nature Duperron, 25, had been reported missing by her family on April 15 and a subsequent missing person investigation determined she had been seen in Edmonton at the beginning of April.

 An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Edmonton on April 25 and as of this date a cause of death has not yet been determined.

 The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is treating Duperron’s death as a homicide.
